Therapy for teens and young adults in emotional survival mode.

I offer virtual therapy for Maryland and DC residents, and in-person sessions at my office in Chevy Chase, MD beginning this July.

You don’t have to do this alone.

You don’t have to carry this all by yourself. You don’t have to keep white knuckling through each day.

I work with people who feel deeply — and sometimes feel overwhelmed by it.

My job is to help you find balance within your emotions.

My passion is helping teens and young adults navigate…

Depression

Anxiety

Eating Disorders

Life Transitions

Hi, I’m Emma!

I’m a licensed therapist specializing in working with teens and young adults. I offer a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can feel seen, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Using a DBT-informed approach, I blend practical skills with compassion to help you navigate anxiety, depression, eating struggles, and the ups and downs of life.

Getting Started

I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming. My job is to make that process a little easier. Here’s what it usually looks like:

1. Reach out

Take the first step and send me an email or give me a call. I’ll do my best to get back to you within 2 business days.

2. Phone (or video) consult

We’ll talk for about 15–20 minutes. I’ll lead the conversation—asking about why you (or your child) are seeking therapy, how I might be able to help, and answering any questions you have. We’ll also go over the basics like scheduling, fees, and next steps. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule your first session.

3. First Session

Our first session is about getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing you to therapy and what’s been going on in your life. You’ll also have space to ask anything you’d like to know about me, how therapy works, or what to expect. From there, we’ll figure out a plan that feels right for you.

Not every therapist is the right fit and that’s okay. If it turns out that I’m not the best match for your needs, I’ll do my best to help you find someone who is. Finding the right therapist can be hard, and I’m committed to supporting you in that search—however long it takes.

Therapy can be a fresh start.

Reach out today to see if we might be a good fit. I’d love to support you in whatever you’re facing.
